A therapist, Lori Freitas, in San Jose kicked me out of her office because I had been drinking, but she gave me an AA meeting schedule on the way out in 1985. She saved my life.
My dear roommate M Steven Bloom took me to my first AA meeting on 7.13.1987 in Modesto.
I stayed off alcohol a year but still smoked pot and snorted cocaine. A "normal" boyfriend reflected my alcoholism back to me and shame drove me to AA 1.30.1990.
Clean and sober date 2.28.1990.
