a word of caution
- Please be cautious when choosing a person, organization, church, guru, teacher, therapist, coach, etc. for guidance.
- Explore the free content and groups online until you know in your gut to commit.
- If you feel pressured to pay money, join a group or sacrifice yourself in any way-RUN!
- You should never feel compromised when seeking peace of mind.
- Many teachers charge money for sessions, classes, subscriptions, entrance fees or ask for donations. However, if you feel you are addicted to someone or an organization and pay money you cannot afford you may consider taking a break.
- Also, check your motivations. Are you fantasizing about the teacher/s in a romantic way or some other unmet emotional need? You may consider therapy from a separate source.
- A teacher or therapist with high integrity should provide tools for independence and autonomy and would voluntarily end a client/student relationship after a period of time to allow a person to develop without undue attachment or for financial gain.
